Which car is better under 10k?

I am looking to get a car under 10k and have gotten down to 2 choices:
2003 Volkswagen Passat GLX - $7,750 at 57k miles
2008 Ford Fusion SE 45K mile - $10000

the GLX has arguably more luxury features. both are below KBB sugg. retail with ford fusion about 4k below. Also Ford fusion is definitely newer so that plays into consideration as well - any suggestions?

If it is a car to get you to places, like work, just go with the cheaper one. You will get better ones in the future. Unless you're looking for something else

Used Luxury Car under $10K?

If you had under $10,000 and wanted to buy a used luxury car what would you buy and why?

My Volvo S60 (which I dearly loved) just got totaled and I need to replace it. But I can't afford anything new. $10 K is my budget limit.
My Deville with the Northstar has been an excellent car. 130K miles and no major issues. I'm replacing a Volvo so I don't want to step into a Chevy or a Honda. They don't compare at all to the ride quality of the Volvo.

BMW 3 or 5 series 2000 or 01. Theres a few really nice ones listed with low miles in FLA right around 115 or 12 k but I bet they would take 10.
