I'm quite dumb on the subject of cars but am really interested in learning more about them. What is the difference between a muscle car and a sports car? Would a 1989 camaro be considered a sports car or a muscle car? Also I'm thinking of getting a 1989 camaro to fix up with my dad so I can start learning more about cars. Is this a good car to start with? What specific model of 1989 camaro do you recommend?

A muscle car has a big hot engine, and it's designed for drag racing -- short distance in a straight line. A sports car is designed to win a race along a winding course with tight turns -- Muscle car = raw power; sports car = combination of handling plus power.
