Answer
California, and I'll tell you why, I drove my 1990 XJS the Classic edition (12 cylinder convertible ) on PCH 101, and I thought, there is nothing like it, I started in Dana Point, which is near San Clemente( my home) It was such beautiful morning and this beautiful hwy takes you to the most incredible places, I drove in one day all the way to Big Sur, then went through Carmel and I could not stop ( only to eat and put gas) I went on and up in San Francisco watching the sunset and telling my self how lucky I was to have experience such an incredible weekend, I called home and said, sorry I just can't stop, my family still remain me from time to time of that weekend , we are so lucky here in SOCAL to be in such beautiful Estate, the weather is nice, there is nothing like it, forget Florida.
I don't drive my car anymore like before,is in the Garage for the most part, is so expensive to Drive it now, the other day I decided to take it for a spin and I was surprise to see that it toke more then $80.00 dollars to fill it up, I don't think I could ever take a trip like that again, but I do feel very fortunate that I was able to have experience such a wonderful adventure. Today I actually thought about selling it, when I called the dealer the guy said " that care is the Classic, don't sell it", I feel sad thinking about it, but it is very real, things have definitely changed.

Where do I best fit geographically in America?

I am an American Ivy-league educated professional, dress in elegant suits, drive European luxury cars (including a Bentley Arnage), love classical music and opera, listen to Classic FM from London and BBC, and am moved to tears by I Vow To Thee My Country? I sometimes feel that I do not fit in with the local populace. Is there a part of America I would feel better in?

Answer
First - a big city where you can enjoy the things you like, including fine arts.
Next - depends on your beliefs & openness. Overall, any major city you go to will have people who appreciate you, but some are more modern, some more old fashioned, more liberal or conservative. Depends what you like.
Big cities in the midwest have it all - Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Indianapolis - very educated & modern, very clean cities overall (Detroit still has some rough areas, but rebuilding).
Ultra modern & liberal = California. I would avoid the Super Cities (New York, LA, DC, Miami, etc) just due to traffic / congestion / too many people.
Also depends on climate = you like seasons? That is mid-west or north.
Like it warm 100% = Florida, Texas, California / South & South West.
Good Luck!
