How to play old Windows 2000 games on XP?

Okay, so I have this games called Sport Car GT it's made for Windows 98 and Windows 2000. I own a Windows XP and I can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Any answer would be fine, I really want to play this game. :)

Right click on the shortcut.
choose properties
click the compatibility tab at the top
choose run this program in compatibility mode for windows 98

try the other options in there as well.

if it doesn't work. you can't play it.
