Green and Mean! Meet Volvo C30's evil twin

Many of you might know about European touring car series like BTCC, WTCC or BTCC, but not many of you might know that Sweden also have their own touring car series. The STCC is a series heavily influenced by the BTCC series and in 1996 Sweden decided to have their own touring series due to the popularity of BTCC tv coverage in Sweden.

The STCC has been enjoying its success ever since the inception of the series and you simply can't have a Sweden touring car series without Swedish cars. Yeah, cue the B-roll.

The Volvo C30 made their first appearance today at the Gelleråsen circuit testing two S2000 Volvo C30, which will be replacing the S60 as the next entry to this years STCC series. The S2000 Volvo C30 STCC race car shares many of the components of the S60 from last year including the converted 5 cylinder engine running E85 bio-ethanol!
